Many thanks to seventeen volunteers who cleaned trash out of the Reedy Creek woods on Saturday, November 4. We pulled out old chairs, a car seat, bottles, cans, and lots of other stuff.

It was a beautiful sunny day with lots of fall color.

The woods are getting progressively more attractive, as our annual cleanups seem to be keeping our team ahead of the team bringing the junk in.

A major source of difficulty for Reedy Creek is youthful beer parties whose guests do not clean up after the celebration. Another problem is environmental damage done by off road vehicles. [See Reedy Creek Managment Issues.]

These problems have potential solutions. Everyone using the woods for any purpose should commit himself or herself to leaving the woods cleaner. Anyone witnessing littering or off road vehicle activity can call the Brick police.
