THANK YOU Herring Point Cleanup Volunteers

On Saturday, March 25, fourteen volunteers helped clean trash out of the Herring Point section of the Forsythe Wildlife Refuge in Brick.

On Saturday, March 27, these fourteen volunteers helped give a light cleaning to the Herring Point section of the Forsythe Wildlife Refuge in Brick. Herring Point is just west of Traders Cove, near the foot of the Mantoloking Bridge. THANK YOU.

A big thank you also to Jack Nydam of the Brick Township Department of Public Works, who provided a dumpster.

Empty bottles and cans were the most frequently found items. The weather was warm and delightful. Spring Peepers were heard. The Osprey are back on the tower.

This time of year is perfect for cleaning Herring Point because the leaves are down and the trash can be easily found. We plan to make this an annual event on the last Saturday of March. Mark your calendar now!
