Thank You Herring Point Cleanup Volunteers!

For approximately twenty years SBB has been holding cleanups at Herring Point. On the last Saturday in March, our volunteers did it again.

On Saturday, March 31, eleven volunteers helped in the annual effort (last Saturday in March) to haul trash out of the Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge at Herring Point in Brick.

This successful effort is taking on even more importance because Herring Point will soon be neighbor to the park at Traders Cove in Brick Township. Our eventual hope is to see a nature trail starting at the Park and going all the way out to the tidal marsh at Herring Point. The cleaner this trail is the better.

The two most important elements of our cleanups are the willingness of volunteers to donate their time and the willingness of Brick Township to donate a dumpster.

THANK YOU volunteers, and THANK YOU Brick Township Department of Public Works.
