New Jersey environmental organizations, elected officials, and concerned citizens will hold a press conference at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17, to oppose the proposed cuts to the budgets of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Interior Department. They will call on members of New Jersey’s Congressional delegation to reject the budget unless it contains full and fair funding for the agencies that protect our health and environment.
The event will be held at Mantoloking Bridge County Park, the base of the bridge wiped out in a breach caused by Superstorm Sandy five years ago.
