Rezoning of Bayville
Pinewald-Keswick Road
The Berkeley Township Planning Board is holding its third and final hearing to take public comment on its proposed rezoning of much of Bayville to a lower density.
Save Barnegat Bay supports these proposed changes. We will be represented by attorney, Michele R. Donato, who will convey our support and suggest minor changes.
Save Barnegat Bay has long urged that the Township rezone to larger lot sizes. Development interests have turned out at the previous hearings to oppose these proposed changes. It is extremely important for interested citizens to turn out at this hearing to support this environmentally friendly proposal.
In technical language we are “supporting the Planning Board’s Re-examination Report of the Township’s Master Plan”. In plain English, what is needed is for you to turn out to personally convey to the Planning Board your enthusiastic support for their proposal to lower zoning density in your neighborhoods. This will have a positive effect on water quality, on traffic congestion and on the ability of government to purchase land for conservation.
Your quality of life depends on your participation.
Sincerely,
Willie deCamp
President, Save Barnegat Bay
