Lacey Rails to Trails – a group independent of SBB, whom we admire and have offered some support – has won a great victory in their three year effort to get Lacey Township to transfer the Jersey Central Right-of-Way to Ocean County for use as a bike and walking trail and NOT as a highway. This makes possible a single trail all the way from South Toms River to Stafford, which can potentially become a backbone along which open space can be conserved.
