Sips & Shells

Botany of the Bay!

Do you have an item to donate for our auction?

Everything begins with plants and in Barnegat Bay, they’re not just part of the scenery – They are the Bay.

They create the oxygen we breathe, shape the water that defines our landscape, and form the base of every food web. They hold our shorelines in place, filter pollution from our waterways, and quietly sustain life—above and below the surface—in ways we too often overlook…until now.

Each year we are thrilled to provide you with fun, dynamic, and educational ways to not only fund our mission, but to also become a part of it.  That’s why we are so excited to share what we have in store next.

This year’s Sips & Shells 2026 theme is Botany of the Bay—an immersive celebration of the powerful, beautiful, and surprisingly delicious plant life that makes this ecosystem—and our way of life—possible.

Flowering Fun!

Join us for a night dedicated to these incredible native wonders of our watershed and learn about their uses as food, medicine, and tools while also getting an opportunity to sample some historic and tasty recipes that celebrate the culture of our Bay!

Imbibe a signature cocktail featuring a standout Barnegat Bay plant, and experience firsthand how these species shape the Bay’s health—and why protecting them is essential to its future.

In addition to the botanical fun, we are thrilled to provide you with auction items that help you experience the beauty of our Bay in an unforgettable and storied way.

For our top tiered sponsor tables we are honored to provide cruises for up to 10 guests on the beautiful and iconic Coastal Queen or Barnegat. This is an exceptional way to experience our Bay and the unique beauty it provides in the best way possible, by being immersed in its wonder on yachts that represent the pure elegance and joy of Barnegat Bay.

Barnegat Bay is for all and every single person is part of its story and has a place in its splendor, that is why it would be our privilege to host you this summer to celebrate the floral marvels that make our home so special.
